Sodium Bicarbonate

Sodium Bicarbonate, commonly known as baking soda or bicarbonate of soda, is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3. It is an odorless white powdered substance that is a mixture of sodium and hydrogen carbonate and is commonly used as a leavening agent in baking. Sodium Bicarbonate also has a place in bath and beauty products. It is the primary ingredient in bath fizzies and adds gentle exfoliation to soap and scrubs. It is one of the key ingredients for making bath bombs, and is very often used in other skin care and cosmetic products such as toothpaste and soap.
