Lavender, also known as Lavandin, is a hybrid species between English Lavender (L. Angustifolia) and Portuguese Lavender (L. Latifolia). It is grown in the Provence region of France, and the intense color and scent of the buds make it very desirable for use in crafts. Lavender is also a very popular ingredient for homemade D.I.Y soap, body balm, as well as perfumes and infused oil.
